“How to cultivate the patience that is unconcerned with respect to harm:
- The offender’s lack of control
- The inappropriateness of anger given that he has no control
- The scriptural source for this
- How anger is inappropriate if one thinks of one’s own karma
- Consequently, the appropriateness of being patient as if it were a medical examination
How to cultivate the patience that accepts suffering:
- Countering the categorical aversion to suffering that arises
- Considering the positive qualities of suffering itself
- It is not difficult if you familiarize yourself in small steps”
